After the fun of the 2026 Fiber Arts Summer Camp experience, I knew I wanted to do it again. I've incorporated the feedback from the campers, and I'm excited to announce the 2027 Fiber Arts Summer Camp Retreat!
This retreat is 3 nights, with two full days of crafty fun. There is more free time for crafting, relaxation, and fellowship. And more ice dyeing! I had so much fun experimenting with y'all, and I'll never stop being a dye teacher. Even more potholder loom weaving! And you'll be able to dye your own loops if you want. Finally, we'll do some freeform tapestry weaving and create one-of-a-kind wall hangings that incorporate yarn, ribbon, fiber, and other personal objects. All materials are included, as well as lodging and meals.
We'll be staying at the Blue Mountain Retreat Center in Knoxville, MD, about 1 hour from Baltimore,MD and Washington, DC. The center is located on 27 acres of mostly wooded land in the Blue Ridge Mountains. You'll have the option of foraging around the property for your botanical dyeing and tapestries. Lodging is dormitory style with primarily shared rooms. Please note if you require a single room. Massages are available at an additional cost.
