We look forward to the New York Sheep & Wool Festival at Rhinebeck every year, and we're so sad we won't be welcoming you to our booth in person. But that won't stop us from bring a little bit of Baltimore to you!
Introducing Motor House: this year's Rhinebeck limited edition color. Named for a shared arts space on North Ave, Motor House has a cool gray base with a medley of eye-popping speckles, inspired by our city's love of graffiti and public art. In fact, Motor House sits in front of Graffiti Alley, a popular spot for street artists from all over town. We love this block so much that it's a featured location in our Transitions Lookbook, and now we can share it with yarn-lovers no matter how far away.
Your yarn will be dyed to order. Please allow 1-2 weeks for fulfillment.
Welcome our newest yarn base: a sumptuous blend of baby Suri alpaca, Merino wool, and silk. Suri Loft is an opulent yarn that's stunningly soft on the skin, and gives our vibrant roster of colors a saturated, watercolor appearance. With a delicate core surrounded by clouds of Peruvian alpaca fiber, Suri Loft can be treated as a fingering weight, or knit or crocheted up on larger needle and hook sizes for quick projects--especially if held double with another of your favorite Neighborhood Fiber Co. bases.
Subtle color variations are achieved through kettle dyeing.
65% Suri alpaca, 20% Merino wool, 15% silk
4-5 sts/inch US 5-6
A note about speckles: Each skein is individually dyed, so while these pictures are representative of the color, your skein will not look exactly like the pictures. Each and every skein is truly unique!
We recommend hand washing with Eucalan in cool water, as other brands of wool wash have had adverse effects on our yarn. Lay flat to dry.
