Description

Local teen, Alexis, interned this summer as a Studio Apprentice at Neighborhood Fiber Co. through a local, creative professional development organization, Baltimore Youth Arts*. Alexis created two fabulous new colorways in our Capital Luxury Sport yarn base: Tucker Circle and Mulberry Street - the sales of which will be donated to benefit Baltimore Youth Arts. Alexis has been a joyful addition to the small Neighborhood Fiber Co. staff. A talented dyer, Alexis created, dyed, twisted and labeled all the skeins for this project.

Capital luxury Sport is very soft, light weight, cozy, and warm. Tucker Circle, named after the street Alexis is growing up on, is an earthy and calming combination of cranberry, golden brown and dark gray, perfect for Fall. The speckles of cranberry and chestnut in Mulberry Street enliven a base of a light, warm neutral. Mulberry Street is where Baltimore Youth Arts is located.

Available to purchase in a Fixation Cowl Kit or as individual skeins.

The Fixation Cowl by designer Ann Weaver is a striped chevron patterned cowl measuring roughly 41” around and 13” high, after blocking. The Fixation Cowl Kit comes with 2 skeins of Capital Luxury Sport: one each of Tucker Circle and Mulberry Street.

The Fixation Cowl pattern is available on Ravelry.com; a code is provided with each kit purchased for a free pattern.

Subtle color variations are achieved through kettle dyeing

A note about speckles: Each skein is individually dyed , so while these pictures are representative of the color , your skein will not look exactly like the pictures. Each and every skein is truly unique!

Care instructions: Hand washed using mild soap and lay flat to dry (recommended). We recommend washing with Eucalan as other wool wash have had adverse effects on our colors
