Local teen, Alexis, interned this summer as a Studio Apprentice at Neighborhood Fiber Co. through a local, creative professional development organization, Baltimore Youth Arts*. Alexis created two fabulous new colorways in our Capital Luxury Sport yarn base: Tucker Circle and Mulberry Street - the sales of which will be donated to benefit Baltimore Youth Arts. Alexis has been a joyful addition to the small Neighborhood Fiber Co. staff. A talented dyer, Alexis created, dyed, twisted and labeled all the skeins for this project.
Capital luxury Sport is very soft, light weight, cozy, and warm. Tucker Circle, named after the street Alexis is growing up on, is an earthy and calming combination of cranberry, golden brown and dark gray, perfect for Fall. The speckles of cranberry and chestnut in Mulberry Street enliven a base of a light, warm neutral. Mulberry Street is where Baltimore Youth Arts is located.
